Nice Twice Training
Did you know Nice Twice Club offers training?
Nice Twice Club offers bespoke training which is adaptable and tailored to organisations.
The aim of the training is to increase awareness of learning disability and neurodiversity and provide practical advice and support directly from people with lived experiences.
At Nice Twice Club, we have delivered training to Hull’s art organisations including, Freedom Festival and Hull Truck Theatre. Attendees were from various departments including communications, marketing, front of house, fundraising and hospitality.
Topics which are covered include:
· What is a learning disability?
· What is neurodiversity?
· Communication
· How to support our communities
Training can be in person or online, we aim to be as flexible as possible. Our suggestion is for training to be 2 hours in length but we can adapt timings to suit.
Hull Truck Theatre shared some feedback from their recent training -
“Emily, Laura and Jess delivered the training in a really informative and creative way, whilst also providing a relaxed, supportive and non-judgemental environment to ask questions.”
“It was really interesting to find out more about neurodiversity and how to recognise disabilities that aren’t always visible.”
“Really helpful discussions around terminology – i.e. disability and difficulty. All explained very clearly.”
“The presentation was nicely broken up with creative activities and information sharing.”
“Some of the statistics were quite surprising (and disappointing). It’s important we take part in training like this, to better support our community.”
